Office Contacts

  • 3,106 individuals sought assistance from Lincoln County Extension in the form of phone calls, emails, and face-to-face office meetings.
  • 34 site visits were made upon request of clients with specificissues or concerns diagnosed.
  • 117 samples (up from 107 in 2023) were submitted to 禁漫天堂 Laboratories through the Lincoln County Extension Office

Agriculture and Natural Resources Programs

  • Emphasis: Farm Sustainability & Profitability, Livestock Production
  • 36 educational sessions were taught in the areas of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
  • 61 additional events and programs were coordinated with assistance from the ANR agent.
  • 3,216 participants in programs representing international, national, state, and local audiences
  • 100% of programs show an increase in knowledge of participants and intended behavioral changes to improve management practices!
  • Professional Successes:
    • Two National Finalists, three Regional Winners, and five State Winning awards through the National Association of County Agricultural Agents.
    • Poster and oral presentation made at 2024 National Association of County Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting.
    • Presentation made at 2024 Association of International Agricultural Extension Educators Annual Meeting.
    • Ms. Stewart serving as Southern Region Vice-Chair of the NACAA Agricultural Economics Committee.
    • Ms. Stewart served as editor of the Southeast Georgia Pecan Newsletter and the Elevated Equine Website and wrote weekly articles for the Lincoln-McCormick Journal Messenger?and other publications.

4-H Programming

  • Current enrollment: 325 4-H'ers (increase from 236 in 2023)
  • 21 Core Club Meetings held in-school.
  • 30+ additional opportunities for 4-H'ers including: Pioneer Days, Farm Safety Camp, Conservation Field Days, Homeschool Club, Cooking Club, District Project Achievement, Summer Camp, Habitats are Hip, Christmas Parade, Pizza and Movie Nights, SWCD Annual Banquet, and more.
  • Five 4-H’ers attended Summer Camp, funded by local sponsorships and donations.
  • Five 4-H’ers participated in District Project Achievement at Rock Eagle.
FACS Programming
  • Lincoln County does not have a current FACS agent but collaborates with neighboring Elbert County FACS agent Christa Campbell to answer FACS related questions.?

Additional Highlights

  • Lincoln County Agriculture Center used for over 25 events, meetings, and programs.?
  • Construction began?on a covered, lighted livestock arena and barn for housing livestock at the Lincoln County Agriculture Center.
