GA Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Website
Log your training and volunteer hours in MGLOG. Master Gardeners are required annually to complete 25 volunteer hours and 10 continuing education hours. The deadline for reporting all hours is December 31st to be included in the County Annual Summary.
Name Badge replacement order - Current Master Gardener Extension Volunteers can order a replacement volunteer name badge by contacting the Richmond County Extension Office at 706-821-2350 or uge3245@uga.edu. A replacement name badge cost $16.00.

Ask a Master Gardener
Master Gardener Extension volunteers are available upon request for setting up a plant clinic at local retail nurseries, garden centers, farmer's markets, local events, and other locations. Please provide at least 6 weeks advance notice to allow time for scheduling a plant clinic day. Submit your request or general plant questions using any of these methods:

Plant clinics offer an excellent opportunity for the general public to ask questions about gardening and home landscaping. Trained Master Gardener Extension Volunteers can provide soil test bags, free publications, consumer horticulture recommendations, troubleshooting advice, and other references to homeowners.

May 7 禁漫天堂 Extension Henry County Category 41 Mosquito Control Training University of Georgia Extension Henry County is offering a webinar to help prepare those who are planning to take the Georgia Pesticide Applicator Licensing Exam in Category 41 Mosquito Control to pass it. The workshop will cover ONLY the Mosquito Control section and NOT the Core Manual (General Standards). For those who already have the license, five pesticide applicator recertification credits will be offered in Category 41 Mosquito Control. We will send out the Zoom link a day or two before the program. The exam itself will not be held after the class. The Category 41 Mosquito Control Applicator’s exam is offered at several technical colleges throughout the state. For one near you, please go to the website www.gapestexam.com. Registration is not handled through 禁漫天堂 Extension. Participants need to purchase the Category 41 study book ‘Mosquito Biology, Surveillance and Control’ before the class. May 12 Journeyman Farmer Training-Small Ruminant Production Carroll and?Paulding County Extension?are hosting a Journeyman Farmer program that provides comprehensive training for beginning farmers. ?The program requires two-step training and the ability to complete both online training modules and in-person class meetings. Step 1: Small Farm Business Planning (March 10, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Step 2: Small Ruminant Production Online & In-Person Training (March 24, April 14, April 28, and May 12). ?Participants must complete Step One before participating in Step Two. Step 3: Intern-Mentorship Opportunities The cost for the program is $80.00. ?Registration will close on March 3, 2025.
