Vaccine Coolers
Thomas County 4-H is super excited to be partnering with John Baker and Dan Burkhart (Thomasville Stockyard) on a project to build chute side vaccine coolers for our area cattle producers! A huge thanks Thomas County 4-H'ers Cannon Wheeler and Douglas Hopkins for taking the lead on this project and for building our first 6 coolers! Thank you Dan for funding this project and thank you John for your leadership and for your continued quest to provide education.
Cattle vaccines can be very costly for the producers so it is extra important to store and handle them correctly. These chute side vaccine coolers can help maintain the correct temperature range and help keep syringes out of sunlight while working cattle. This project will help our area producers by adding value to their market beef cattle, showing a continued commitment to quality and by strengthening herd profitability!
